Although we travel a lot, this is not a travel blog. We don’t want to show you the 10 best things to do in Paris, or the 20 best travel hacks to rack up the most miles. We don’t really care about that, and there’s a million other people already giving you that content. What we provide you are stories, real stories. About the fringes, the ups and downs of life. It’s about the things that make human life so strange and unique. The fucked up things that can break your heart, and the fantastic things that make life amazing.
We show you unusual things you might’ve not noticed before. We root for the underdogs and the weirdos. We are all about no-BS, straightforward things and have a high affinity for all things old-school and simple. We are all about observing, and curating our observations to you. It’s not about us, but it’s about the world and the people around us. They are important. Not us.
It’s about gaining experiences and understanding more of human life through travel, food, lifestyle, sometimes intelligent observations, often totally stupid humour, bad opinions, good people and a bunch of other things. It’s also about observing the pains of people and the things that might be wrong in the world, and acknowledging that at the end of the day we don’t really know anything. And we definitely know too little of each other, to be emphatic enough for building a better world. This is something we care about a lot.
We chose the name because we find ourselves constantly near the limits, in between borders of categories. Whether the other day we can stay at the grand suite of the Peninsula, dining at a Michelin star establishment, and the next day we’re at a shitty hostel in Shanghai getting drunk on an alley with a bunch of old Chinese guys and home made (possibly lethal) Baijiu, we love to explore the limits of things and explore the best from multiple angles, combining both pain and pleasure, beauty and filth.
Limits of Comfort is about trying to bring more understanding to people, from people. And doing that in the forms of true stories, that will thrill you, excite you, inspire you, amuse you, make you sad, angry and anything in between.
We are damn fierce about your right to be a faulty human being in the time of machines. We are seeking for those things that make life worth living, those special moments of discovery that remind you about what it is to be human and to be alive.
Btw, we respect people, we respect people’s opinions and we respect the cultures of others. Respect is a word we can’t repeat enough. We try to be humble, and we try to always be polite. We however do not respect intolerance, closed mindlessness or trying to push other people into boxes.
Please also note that we write whatever the hell we want in spite of what anyone thinks of us, because we believe that’s the right thing to do. It’s not out of disrespect, but out of our need to speak the truth. And whatever you think, remember that, Limits of Comfort, is for better or worse, only entertainment. Treat it like it is.
